Does anyone used samsung finance before? Hard inquiry or soft inquiry? Which bureau? Do they report to all three bureaus each month?
Same question to finance with ATNT, TMobile, Verizon, Sprint. Hard inquiry or soft inquiry? Which bureau? Do they report to all three bureaus each month?
Thank you in advance for sharing with me.
Not sure if it helps, but I used to have the habit of financing my phones through ATT (not anymore). I never had a hard pull for it, but I am sure they do some soft pulling.
I will add a datapoint, T-Mobile is not a HP and does not report to any of the CRAs. The Samsung Financing is issued by TD Bank and most likely will be a hard pull and I would expect it to report to a CRA but not 100% sure on that.

I do believe Samsung Finance is also considered a consumer finance account? Basically any financing done by a manufacturer vs a bank may likely end up being a CFA.
They do a HP and I am not certain if they report to all 3 bureaus.
I did it before and was annoyed that it showed up on my credit report, unlike Apple financing, which did not. Not sure which bureau was pulled however but, it was a hard pull and inquiry.
It's through TD Bank and they approved me for a $4.3k limit to finance anything though Samsung. I'll never use it again so, it'll just sit there until they close it I suppose.

That is right, it is through TD bank. I had thought some people said that Samsung was a CFA, but I believe if they are going thru TD Bank, then it is probably not.
Thanks for the reminder!
