scorewatch??!

Hey, I had a hunch that scorewatch was not updating for some reason--well, I was right. It wasn't. I paid for my fico score today, and sure enough, it changed immediately.

What is going on? I know info on my report was changing because I was seeing it change daily on Truecredit's site. Scorewatch was not updating and has not for the past 2 weeks. I check it today and --BAM definite change.

BTW, scores are all up so that's good

But come on? Why did scorewatch not tell me there had been changes to my credit report? I knew there had been--why did I stop getting alerts?

Re: scorewatch??!

that's the reason why i cancelled my SW and using my TC to monitor my reports. I don't care about the scores TC give me cuz i know they are fakos.

Re: scorewatch??!

Scorewatch updates:

When their is an alert
When you pull a report

failing those - every 7-10 days.  Which can easily be two weeks
The slide from grace is really more like gliding
And I've found the trick is not to stop the sliding
But to find a graceful way of staying slid

Re: scorewatch??!

scorewatch updates also when the status of an account improves or a new account is added. I just got a new account and the status of 2 older accounts improved. Scorewatch used to send an alert when things like this happened...but it has not been updating since june 30th. I want to know what's up

Re: scorewatch??!

I haven't received an alert in weeks. The program does not deliver what it promises. Period. All we are left with is to run TC to monitor activity and to pay for each score at our leasure.

Re: scorewatch??!

yeah, I'm with rifleman....i'm really trying to be patient. But I signed up with scorewatch on 6/29 and have been waiting for a SW alert. I've put some things in the works and have paid my bills on time...and some fako scores have moved a little, but nothing from SW. Smiley Sad

But then I see on the boards that people are getting SW notices....kindof bums me out. I know it's only been a few weeks, but I was hoping to see SOMETHING!

Re: scorewatch??!

I have had 19 alerts so far this calendar year, 28 in the last 12 months.  Pretty much two a month on average

DW and I both got scorewatch alerts today - balance on one account increased by $144.  Smiley Happy

Re: scorewatch??!

I got  a text stating my score went up 10 points but no email.  I went to the site  and the cause has a bunch of credit cards updating my balances (which increased).  I have 3 lates which will be 1 yr this Aug and no collections or baddies (other than super high utilization, but I paid it all off this month with a personal loan).  Perhaps next month they should be at the FICO simulator projected score range. I have a combination of 10 cc's and will charge about 5 percent on one  and alternate for the purpose of that getting my utilization brownie points.
