Well out of those 28 application did you get approved for anything?
Take it from my experience you need to stop right now cuase most companies will flat out deny when they see 28 resent inquries your not gonna win this game believe me.
I have 30-something on EX and it doesn't bother me. One member has 56+.
The law of diminishing returns comes into play with inquiries, baddies, etc. Yes, there's damage, but after a while it doesn't matter anymore. Most if any points lost were of those with FICO, not FAKO, scores in the 700s and up.
IMO, don't worry about the count. Nothing you can do anyway.
But stop apping. Pull each FICO score and compare yours to others in here to see what you can or can't get approved for. Look at sites like whogavemecredit.com to compare too.
And keep all of your denial letters. Fix whatever needs to be fixed and app again in the future. Repair then rebuild.

The bigger question is ..... what are you going to do with 29 credit cards? Oh, the misery.
I was thinking the same thing.... stop the madness!
Even if half of those inqs were approved, you'd have 14-15 new accounts. Managing that many can be difficult and it's easy to get in over your head with debt.
