student loan question~please explain

Okay, so I called Sallie Mae about what I believe is an error. My husband's loan was in forbearances while I went back to school (April 2004-current). But they reported us late Aug, Sept Oct 2005 (90,120,120). They said it is not their error. They stated that I was able to backdate my forbearance paperwork but not what was reported to the CRA???? I don't understand. Anyone?

I went through something like this, question is: are they saying that they can not or are not reporting your history to the CRA?

if that is what they are saying I would ask to speak to a sup and if that does not work GW letters?

They said they are reporting it correctly and they cannot and will not change it.

Re: student loan question~please explain

First I would send a letter asking when the debt went into forbearance, wait for them to reply so you have it in writing, and then I would send a letter after they respond with the date on their letter head asking about the reports on your Credit during the months they reported it late including a highlighted copy of your CR pertaining to the lines on the CR that are in question, and then reference the date of your forbearance that they provided asking why it was reported late when it was in forbearance, again asking for them to update your CR. Wait another 60 days for a reply, if no reply or a negative reply then I would ...

Submit it all to the CRA disputing the late payments asking them to completely remove the negative item from your report, pointing out that by their own right they fraudently reported known negative information to your CR and then ...

I do not know if this is good advice or not, but after all of that if it was not removed from your CR I would send GW letters along with all of the correspondence previously, everyday until there was some action taken. Everyday

Good, bad, or ugly, it's free adviced and it is worth every penny you paid for it

lol hope this helps enjoy

I did ask them to send me a letter stating the dates that we were in forbearance and I was going to submit that to the CRA. Your idea is worth a try too. Thanks!
