Re: when does too many INQs start?

When Barclay denied you with only one inquiry on file how many accounts did you have at the time?

I find it odd that any creditor in their right mind would deny on this basis only.

Discover IT $19,000 == 12/2013
AMEX 12/2013 ---BCP $12,000 === BC $23,000 ----- 04/2014
CHASE SLATE $5,700 === 12/2013
BoA 123 $6000 === 12/2013
Barclay Rewards $1500 == 12/2013

I can't remember the exact CC count. If you look in the dark recesses of the CC board you'll see many, many examples of them denying on the basis of 1 inquiry, often with no other reason. Now that was in the days of Junny. I don't have any experience with them post-takeover per applying.

Yeah, I haven't updated the siggy in a few months, but I did get approved with ahem* now ~30 inqs with each bureau and 2 new accounts in past 3 months. Suppose I should have taken that gardening plant down. Smiley Happy

At 90 inqs, you may need asphalt and an "I hate gardening" t-shirt. Smiley Happy

Re: when does too many INQs start?

I have recently been denied a CLI on my Amazon card due to "too many recent inquiries" (1, which was for their card the year prior), so ... yeah.  There is no rhyme or reason.
