where do i get the real transunion?

I want to order my Transunion credit report.  Not TrueCredit but the real thing.  The one I have from Truecredit does not give much info.  Can you tell me which site I should use?

Thanks

Everything for Transunion is done via TrueCredit.

What info were you looking for that the TU report from TC didn't have?

Re: where do i get the real transunion?

TrueCredit and TransUnion reports are formatted differently.  The TC report is not a full TU report.  There are no soft inquiries on TC reports, for example, and only limited payment history is displayed.  For adverse accounts, the full report sometimes shows DOFD and expected drop date, while TC reports do not.

You can get a free full report from each of the CRAs once per year at annualcreditreport.com.  If you have already received your free TU report in the last twelve months, you can buy a full TU report for $10 at transunion.com.

Re: where do i get the real transunion?

I just did this recently.  Either go to transunioncs.com or myfico.com.  If you go to transunion.com, you will get a Vantage score, not a FICO score.  You will only get the FICO score at myfico.com or transunioncs.com.  Good luck

If you have TC or used TC, the cookies (I'm not a techie) will redirect the page so as to show that you need TC rather than TU. There's a way around that.

Here's what I did to find my report this morning. Go to transunion.com. Click on Personal at the top. Click "Initiate a Dispute Investigation" to the right under "Solutions for you". If you don't need to investigate, that is OK, bear with me.

I then clicked "Online" and that took me to a signin page. I used the same signin as TC and after logging in, that gave me the option to buy an org. report when you click the "Transunion credit report" link at the top. I think it is $10.50. Don't buy the score add-on.

If you have been denied credit through TU in the past 60 days, there's a way to get the report for free and you can also get it once a year for free via annualcreditreport.com. Unfortunately the cookie thing comes into play there. If I get my reports there, then DW can't and vice-versa.

Just use different browsers (one of you use Firefox and the other use IE).  Cookies are stored in the browser, so if you use a different one for each report, you won't be affected.

You are correct about the scores, but I think the question was where one could find the actual TU report.  Just to be clear, myFICO is not a source for full TU reports.
