Re: Lender Playing Games

I just want to let everyone know that we did in fact end up closing yesterday! It wasn't without issues however. First, the title company called us last Friday around 5 and told us that that docs hadn't made it to them yet so we pushed the closing back from 9 am to 11am. We get to the title company and start signing docs. We sign the docs and the title company sends everything over to get the loan funded. First, we were called back to the title company to resign a form that my wife scratched out the date on because they wouldn't accept it. This was almost an hour after everything had been sent over. We then waited around for the loan to fund until 4:30. During this time, no one knew why it was taking so long. Eventually we found out that the lender didn't request VOE until closing day! Who does that? In the end, everything was funded right before close of business and we had the mover pack up our stuff and bring it over to the new house. We are excited we are in the home and SO GLAD that the nightmare of a mortgage process is OVER for us for a very long time.

Re: Lender Playing Games

Congrats and glad it is done!

Sounds like the closing team was not very professional and they should have known that crossing out anything on a legal document is a no-no.
