Multiple inquiries when seeking refinance, only authorized ONE!

I spoke with ONE lender and gave permission to that ONE lender to pull my credit report. They sent me a copy.

However, pased on CB reports/alerts, it's been pulled THREE times by three different companies. It appears they're all mortgage-related.

Does that count as one inquiry for purposes of scoring, since they're all mortgage related? Or do I need to dispute two that aren't from the company I spoke with?

@skigirl916 If they are coded properly as mortgage inquiries they will count as one, scorewise. As a matter of fact that started your clock.

you have 45 days and all the inquiries you get for mortgages within those 45 days will count as one, except on the Experian mortgage score where it started a 14 day de-duplication window.

Also you will not see the score loss for 30 days from the date of the first inquiry which starts the window!

For more information read the Scoring Primer linked at the top of my signature.
