Navy Federal Credit Union (NFCU) Mortgage Rate Extension

Have any of you been able to obtain a short extension from NFCU for your locked rate? New construction home may be completed about 2 weeks past the lock rate and wanted to see if any one has had luck requesting, and being granted, an extension. My loan officer said we could request one at the time one is needed, but there are no guarantees, and if denied, we'd be stuck with the market rate. Thanks for any insight you have!

Our rate expired 11/15 and my loan officer extended it for 2 days i believe until she can speak with whoever she needed to before she could offer me plan which was paying for .25 point to lock it for another 4 wks so right now it's due to expire a day after closing date and she said we could extend for a few days if needed again. I'm assuming every situation financial facility is different. Hope this helps.

Edited: sorry i just read your question again. We are not with NFCU but a mortgage loan company.
