Jefferson Capital and Northland having been soft pulling my Ex since 2011. It wasn't until I applied for a mortgage in July that a few weeks later both sent me dunning notices for CO's from 2003 and 2004. Both collections are beyond the SOL and FCRA. I just sent C&D and as usual they went away.
But...
I wonder if there is anything consumers can do legally to prevent CRA's from sending CA's notice of mortgage app's? Aren't they supposed to be neutral agencies? Didn't EQ jusy get sued by the FTC for selling info?

www.optoutprescreen.com They do sell your info to others, but if you were getting soft pulls from them, then they saw when you were apped for that mortgage and pounced. There's really no way to stop that. You were just lucky it was passed the SOL and CRTP.
