Possible issues - It's a new build and we keep getting pushed back because the house isn't done. It was supposed to be finished in April, I think there are at least 2-3 more weeks until it is completed but we'll see.
It's a new build so as long as there a no new shortages everything looks good!

I have been keeping the majority of funds in savings and today an auto payment went through early and somehow posted 3 overdrafts over night as a result. I immediately transferred money from savings to checking but the overdrafts will be on my statement. I check my accounts multiple times a day so I have no idea how this managed to hit and post in the span of a few hours but here I am. Really hoping that no one will ask for another set of bank statements before we close on 9/3.... or that if they do, the fact that I have a pile of money in savings will offset the oops. Ugh, just what I needed, more stress!
It's probably past that point and even if it's not they would most likely require an LOE to add to file- no biggie! enjoy the move

It's very frustrating when this happens, especially when you have plenty of money. But, I wouldnt worry about it. We refinanced our vacation home last year and about a week before closing somehow I overdrafted our checking account by $15 and our overdraft line of credit kicked it. I always assume there is money there ... probably not the best approach. I immediately transferred money from our external savings over to NFCU. Our mortgage, refinance, and checking were with NFCU. They either didn't catch it or didn't care. I learned a lesson though .... I now keep at least $5k in a NFCU money market account.
Good news! I'm signing for the sale of my current home tomorrow. Closing on this house is Thursday. The moving container was dropped off today so it'll be a busy weekend of packing followed by movers on Monday. Starting to feel real!

Possible issues - Any builder delays. Currently in UW and the process is daunting. Received conditional approval back at the end of May, but my nerves still get the best of me as a first time home buyer.
Welcome! New builds are definitely stressful, my current home is one. It's worth it in the end though.

Welcome terren! A one month delay is brutal! We're closing twins now, my purchase also closes on the 3rd.
@ReadyForHome
Dr horton just pushed me back to September 17th.
Said they are delayed do to Edison installing electricity by the end of the month. I saw the powerlines up. Not sure how any of that works.
