Soft pull before closing HELP

Help, I'm under contract and just waiting for closing day. But a new collection was just added to my credit during this process from like 2 years ago during covid. I've already contacted and paid a settled amount and they stated it would be reported and request a removal from credit in 30 days. We close in 58 days. It did drop my score. What are the chances of pur loan being denied at closing or is it possible this will be removed at my score rebound before the soft pull. Or will the soft pull even reflect this change ? I'm freaking out

Re: Soft pull before closing HELP

@Lacy4

Please don't stress yourself out! When on your loan is ready to close, the Funder will do a soft pull looking for any new debts. You shouldn't have to worry about a collection popping up. However, I would encourage you to be honest with your loan officer and tell them what has transpired. I'm sure you'll get the same answer as I've given you. I received many a calls like this in my career and I appreciate it when clients were honest with me. I, as their loan officer, was always better equipped to deal with issues when I knew what was coming.

Best wishes to you!
