Hello everyone just wanted to pass on some good news. I like alot of members here purchased a home in November 2009. Well I was gonna wait and file my taxes for 2009, and just do them together. Well I kinda got scared after reading post of it could possibly take IRS up to 6 months for 2009 Income tax filings due to fraud.
Well at the advise of my wonderful boyfriend I submitted an amendment of my 2008 taxes thinking maybe instead of waiting up to 6 months maybe it would cut the time down to 4 months or so. Well on January 27, 2010 I mailed my amended return off certified return receipt and with paperwork suggested by my fellow Fico members such as Hud 1 Statement, DL, and bank statement with my new address. Then I waited another two weeks to file my 2009 electronically (I just wanted space in between my submissions and to make sure they received it) Well I called the IRS today after reciving my 2009 income taxes last week, just to make sure it was being processed and if I needed anymore information.........Well I was informed not only was my amendement processed they were sending my check out next Friday, Feb. 19, I should be receiving a letter in the mail stating that date of the mailing of my check (The letter was mailed on Monday). I also received almost $300 in interest on top of my filing. Just thought I share this news with my fellow Fico Members.
BTW I live in Ohio, and I had to mail my return to Kansas. Not bad for under a month to be receving my check, so I am on cloud 9 today
