Addition Financial CU - Membership Fail

Been looking at Addition Financial CU's card lineup from a distance in the hopes of possibly going for their 5%/5x rotator in the future. While I find getting into geofenced CU's a fun challenge, these guys were having none of it. Their eligibility is as follows:

Addition Financial’s field of membership is based on a community charter.  Anyone who lives, works, worships, attends school or vocational training, or is an alumni of any college, university, or educational institution located in Orange, Osceola, Seminole, Lake, Alachua, Brevard, Duval, Flagler, Hernando, Highlands, Hillsborough, Indian River, Manatee, Marion, Martin, Okeechobee, Pasco, Pinellas, Polk, Sarasota, St. Johns, St. Lucie, Sumter, or Volusia County may join. If you become a member of Addition Financial, your immediate family members are automatically eligible to join.

I thought I had a good case for eligibility via an employer-related path, but was ultimately denied. Made it into a reconsideration process involving two different supervisors from their member services dept though, so for a brief time I thought I could make it in. Oh well, not meant to be, but at least that's one less CU account I need to keep an eye on. Best of luck to anyone else that might want to give it a try.

Re: Addition Financial CU - Membership Fail

I always find the "worship" path interesting that if you lived in a nearby county that could commute to one of their counties for worship would be acceptable and I'm not sure how they would "verify" you do so...other than asking for contribution receipts...

Thanks for sharing...
