You called and attempted to cancel but weren't able to. I realize that you authorized the subscription at some point, but you don't want it any more. If they don't give you an avenue to cancel the subscription and recurring charge, then fraud might be a strong word, but it is still a disputable charge.
like he said!
"I read something about the token reset"
That's a Tolkien reset. Get a copy of Lord of the rings and copy a couple of lines of elvish into a letter addresses to amazon. Tell them it's a curse on them and their family to the third generation of they don't quit charging you. Mention that it continues beyond your life and it's so horrible it can't be described in english.
Probably should send it registered. Put some fake (or real) blood stains on too.

You good bro? Yeah I know about that and I told them that but they said there's nothing they could do. I think most of these people are just lazy or uneducated.
Sometimes humor helps. All seriousness aside, I would close a checking account in a second to kill a never ending subscription. Then again, I have seven, lol.
Depending on how the transaction is coded by merchant your bank/cu may be able to place Visa stop. If stop option not available they can cancel card and order separate card instead doing as replacement.
For future trial sign ups fintech "Current" as option to block certain recurring brands on their end.

"they can cancel card and order separate card instead doing as replacement." That's the same thing. Even if I get a new card, they will put it on the new card. I will look into these, thank you.
Cant speak all fis but with the system I deal it gives replacement options when canceling debit card. To block updater I close card 1 without further action. I then go order card 2 as separate transaction. If done as simple replacement its all 1 single transaction which transfers info and you stay same loop like now.
Its tricky process so to explain. You can call to cancel without replacement. Just let them know you dont want debit card as of now. Wait 1 business day and order new one online, phone,or branch.
I talked to many people that had the same problem and come to a realization that if you want to cancel the subscription, ultimately you have to cancel your whole credit card account. I can't figure out any other way but I'll let this be a life lesson to never opt for a subscription cause this has been a waste of time and a lot of headache. I'm not gonna be closing my account but just take this as a loss and it will haunt me for the rest of my life. It sucks that the card was used the Hyatt card and the fact that it's Chase, it's hard to get their cards. If it was US bank or WF, Citi, I would close it and reopen but not the case with chase cause their 524 rule. At this point, I just give up...
I was wondering could I report them to the cfpb?
