@Royalbacon    so I got approved for membership at Delta Community CU after sending requested documents but they said they can't give me any account information by email or over the phone.....I will get a welcome packet and then I can set up my online account and fund the account.....was that your experience?  Unique experience for me regarding any credit union.

It shows you your account numbers at the end of the application online when you finalize, along with giving you the ability to download a Welcome Letter PDF that contains your numbers as well to immediately register for online banking. If you raced through that part and didn't save your account numbers you'll probably have to wait to get them in the mail.

Your member savings account number doubles as the member number.

@Royalbacon      thanks for the heads up!

After approval they sent me an email with a code to fund my account but it did not match the original application code so I could not "finalize" and fund my account. I called and they said this was "normal" but my accounts were open and I would get my info in the mail.

I think I will like them as they seem to be upfront on their website about products and services and they offer lots of knowledge about finances and credit in general.
