Re: Amex High Yield Savings Account

Just a couple of days ago it was 1.65% so this is great. Sure we're not going to get rich on 1.75% but if I'm parking my money anyways, it feels good to get something worth a darn!

Re: Amex High Yield Savings Account

so I just sent $8350 back to Amex... and as soon as its available, it's going back to Disco to collect $150 bonus Smiley Happy that is a great amount of interest for a couple of weeks.

Re: Amex High Yield Savings Account

I thought about that but I figured they would find a way to hold on to my money by claiming they couldn't verify my identity.

Wow, MaizeandBlue, you sure have much more patience then I do. I would have stopped them right there at the Affadavit of Identity: "You want to verify my identity? No problem, mail me a check for down to the last cent in my account, and when it clears you'll know it was me". Smiley Mad

Earlier this year Chase called me when I tried to ACH pull in a couple grand from an external account. The rep wanted to conference call me into that bank to verify I was the owner of the account. I told her I didn't have the time for that nonsense, just cancel the transfer. Then I ACH pushed the funds in from the other bank's side.
