Hey alexbas!
It was very simple: filled in the application and hit submit. He received an approval email a few hours later. American Express gives you 3 days to electronically sign & submit the loan documents. He signed them yesterday (early morning) and the money was deposited into an account. I assume it was deposited sometime this morning. It's still pending.
American Express did not require any additional documents. AFAIK, they didn't contact his employer. It's always YMMV.
SN: I also received a pre-approval for one of these loans on my BCE account. I didn't submit an application.
