We’re introducing an enhanced, more secure, and easy-to-navigate digital experience for all American Express Savings account holders. This means we will be moving your online account management experience to a new website, requiring you to create a new User ID and password.
Over the next few months, our Savings login screen will be evolving as we move forward with these changes. You’ll be receiving additional communications from us explaining the process of creating your new login credentials.
I have the checking and savings accounts. I'm not crazy about it since the app looks weird to me. Don't know what it is. Great savings but there are times that my debit card gets declined but when I use my Schwab account it goes through. They should work on the app and that issue with their debit card. Not sure why it gets declined since I have money in the account.
I read something about that... from what I recall the amex debit card is being interpreted as an amex charge/credit card by some of the payment processor(s).
I don't know if it correlates, but it might be that if they don't take amex credit/charge cards then the amex debit card is rejected.
It's likely to be a temporary thing as amex debit cards I think are fairly new. (late 2021)
I could see that. Anybody I tell them my checking account is with American Express they look at me funny. They normally respond with, "American Express only does credit cards." I like how they treat their employees so I bought stock and opened a debit card and savings since also their savings are a HYSA. I really hope they get those fixed. I'd like to pretty much stay with AMEX.
Good company IMO too.
I have no idea how much traction their business and personal checking has but I assume Amex is aware of the snag and doing their part (if any) to get the debit cards accepted properly.
I'm confused. My Amex checking and savings accounts are all listed and accessible on the regular Amex app with all of my Amex cards. Why a separate, new app?

@Jeffster1 Not a new app per re, but for users such as myself who only have Amex Savings, I thought of it as something nice instead of having separate logins for Savings and Amex card/Checking account users.

Got it. Thanks!
I just opened 2 Amex HYSA and they both showed up in my Amex app with my BCP.
