Apple Card - Setting it up to pay through online banking billpay.

I've tried adding my new Apple card issued by Goldman Sachs Bank to my online billpay at my bank so I can pay this account the same way I pay all of my other accounts and get errors that the biller can't be identified based on the account number entered. I know you can add your bank account in the Apple Card app and pay your balance using the linked bank account but what if you want to pay using your online banking billpay?

I also can't seem to locate a payment mailing address for Apple Card. If anyone has any details on this it would be appreciated.

Hi and welcome to MyFICO

Unfortunately, you cannot pay your Apple card statement through your bank's billpay. It has to be paid via your iPhone.

Yup, payments are through the Wallet app on iPhone, Wallet & Apple Pay under Settings on iPad and Mac, or call and make a payment over the phone.

Its entirely digital, there are no plans to take payments any other way according to GS.

As many articles suggest, the major goal from Apple's viewpoint is, rather than becoming a credit card giant, to increase the stickiness of the iphone.  Making some critical functions (such as applying and paying the bill) phone only (almost) helps towards this goal.

I use autopay for all my CCs. So it wouldn’t matter whether I lost my phone, I’m out of the country, or hospitalized, my bills will always get paid. 🙃

Re: Apple Card - Setting it up to pay through online banking billpay.

Excellent point

yhough I stay way on top of my CC accounts, I activated Auto Pay on all of them

then I manage the payments manually, with the amounts that I want

but if I am ever offline or miss something, at least the minimum will get paid.

Sorry, that was'nt really directed at you per se. it was just a general response. Most do not set up auto-pay.

You are a well educated myFICO'er.

Please do not take that as I intended it for you "only"

My Sincere Apologies.

Auto pay is very Smart (no pun intended) to set up on new accounts or any accounts for that matter.

all mine are set up for minumum auto-pay. with a checking account that has (3) forms of overdraft protection.

cant be to careful! I do not want any 30, 60 or 90 day lates hanging around for 7 years of bad luckSmiley Wink

Edit: I also heard returned payments are no bueno either.
