BCU website

I am trying to pay DHs bill and I am getting this error message? Our external account is active and we always use it. Any clues?IMG_5172.jpeg

1. Hi. You might want to consider putting this under "Personal Finance" rather than "Credit Cards", because it's an issue that afflicts BCU generally.

2. I had similar experiences with BCU, which is why I put that credit union in the rear view mirror.

Don't have them, however have had a couple of CU's/Banks close down linked payment accounts because of lack of use.   Five or six months of not using the account for payments and they close the account.  Once it was just because I did not use the card at all and another because I had been paying by transferring funds from a checking account to pay the card each month.

 

Could be BCU unlinking the account, not that the paying account is not good or not funded.

Thanks we haven't used the card or payment account in probably 6 months, was just trying to rotate in . Maybe I will try to add external account again and see .

Wil do even tried to transfer to his savings account no go. Will remove and relink and see what happens if not sock  drawer or close .

I deleted "active" account and tried to add again failure . Might close this sucker and mine  as my active external does not  work either .IMG_5184.jpeg

I had something similar. you have to be a member for it was either 3 or 6 months before you can transfer from external accounts even to pay the credit card. You have to push funds over until your membership is old enough.

 

BCU is a very weird bank. never had that experience before myself.

external adding is limit to 5, if you add more than that it will give you an error. However, you can add member to member to avoid the limit.

 

BCU is my primary and it's been working as it should
