Blue Credit Union -Hard Pull To Join?

Are there any recent data points if it is hard pull to join Blue Credit Union?

I called and asked, but the customer service representative was not sure if it was a hard or soft pull to join.

No recent DP on this CU. According to CU list, it was SP. Hope a recent member chimes in.

@recoveringfrombk7 might possibly be able to answer. I found a May 2020 post from them. Nothing on pull, but Chex sensitive.

@blindambition I ended up not applying because the word was they were EXTREMELY chex sensitive and I've been active with my CU applications this year.  Sorry I'm not of any help DP wise!

It's not quite the ace-in-the-hole you're looking for, but I applied online last November and was rejected (99% sure for Chex). No HP was done; while I doubt they would have done a HP had I passed Chex, I can't be positive.

Just a note too that I recall if your balance goes over the max for the high percent then the entire balance is subject to a lower rate.  Most banks do up to X - high percent, after X - lower percent.  But if I recall correctly Blue was different.  If you go for it read the fine print to be sure.

I applied back in June, denied. No HP done. Letter in the mail states I didn't qualify for membership (LOL) but when I contacted them it was because of Chex.

As to how chex sensitive they are, I have no idea. Different people get completely different answers from different reps. I've heard no more then 3 inquiries in the past 6 months while others have said no more then 1 inquiry in the past year.

Update:I checked my chexsystems report online. At the time I apped for Blue FCU in June 2020, I had only 1 Chex inquiry in the past 6 months and 7 in the past 12 months. Theres a better data point for you.
