I have a negative balance on USB cash+. If I transfer the difference to checking account will I be charged cash advance fee?

Re: CC to checking account transfer?

Have you contacted US Bank to see if they can deposit the negative balance to your checking account themselves? I know a few banks do this for customers but no clue if USB does

I already transfered the money. It is a small amount. Only $50. Just wondering if I am going to get cash advance fee applied later on. I don't see anything right now.

Re: CC to checking account transfer?

I'm curious why people just don't use said CC when this happens? I've seen few threads pop about what will happen with a negative balance etc. And it seems they're all looking for the most difficult way to go about it.

Besides, if it sits there too long won't they just send a check? Problem solved. I have this happen every so often, and I just use the card to pay a bill.

Re: CC to checking account transfer?

Agreed with ^^

i overpay a CC at least every 3 months... usually around $50, due to having it scheduled and then making a one time payment by mistake

I move that card into my wallet for a week and spend $50-$60 on it, then payoff the small balance.

I move my Amazon rewards to my Amazon Chase and have a overpay until the next monthly order goes through

from what I understand you either use it, or in 3-6 months they will send you a check.

Aye.  Discover and at least Capital One does this.  Discover does it if for 3 consecutive statements it's a negative balance, regardless if you max out the card between statements or don't touch it - they zero it out and mail you a check and the timer starts again.  Capital One does the same thing I've recently discovered as well, although not 100% sure on the time frame.  Was either 2 or 3 months.
