Cap1 2-Step Verification. Need Help!

Just opened a Cap1 360 checking account but haven't been able to Add an External Account to transfer money from. Because for some reason my Phone number is not working with there 2-Step Verification method to verify my identity.

The other option is to Call 1-877-383-4802.

What should or could i do? If I call, anyone know what they going ask me?

Thank you for sharing! Smiley Wink

To minimize fraud, many 2SV systems won't work if it detects (even mistakenly) that your phone number is a Voice Over IP, or internet phone number like Google phone or a call forwarding service. Have you tried having the system call you with a voice call? That's just an automated system that reads the digits to you and you type them in the app. Cap1's 2SV will also send the code to your email address as an alternative if you have one on file. It prompts you to select whether to text your phone, call your phone, or send the code to your email. You can also add a land line to your file, then it will give you the option of getting a voice call on that number. Good luck!

Yeah i don't know what is going on because my mobile phone number is Registered in my name, same US address and no one else. and not a VoIP.

Yeah, it looks like you have to call them. I tried to see if I could replicate the prompt with different browsers on my computers at home and work, but I can't get the prompt. I have seen phone numbers get erroneously flagged as VoIP numbers, which sucks for this reason. Unfortunately I don't know how to get that corrected.
