This post is meant to capture banking institutions that offer a very specific feature: check images printed on banking statements. I know of only one bank that does this--Wells Fargo--but have to believe there are others out there.
For those unclear on what I'm talking about, imagine any checks you write appearing in miniature at the end of your monthly bank statement (whether electronic or the hardcopy variety) in order by check number. It's a great tool for non-profits to keep a tidy record of checks written and cashed.
PLEASE, this isn't meant to be commentary on check use (or the decline thereof) generally or in your personal life. I just want to gather up names of banking institutions that offer this functionality or something similar (e.g. if your bank allows you to print all of the check images from a given period at once, this would also be useful)!
Current List:
Bank of America (waivable fee)
Citizens Bank (business acct. confirmed)
First Hawaiian Bank
Indiana Credit Union
KeyBank
Regions Bank
TD Bank (waivable fee)
USAA
Wells Fargo
BoA includes images of both front and back of physical checks with their statement.
They assess a $3 fee each month there are images of physical checks which is waived for Preferred Rewards clients.
@coldfusion, thanks for the info. I wonder if only large banks offer statement check images?
US Bank and Chase both do
Keybank front of check only.
Citizens Bank does, at least on business accounts.
USAA provides check images (front) on paper statements as well. There is no additional charge.
I think a lot of credit unions provide check images. My little CU (Indiana Members CU) that I used for 20+ years did. Back in the day it was really handy.
