I currently use Ally Bank for checking and savings. I am a member of Langely FCU. I saw that they have High Yield Savings Account and a checking account with no monthly maintenance fees. The savings account is about a quarter to a half point higher than Ally. So I opened a checking account with no problems. This issue is resolved-The problem is with Redstone FCU and State Department FCU the on line bill pay wants to send a paper check to them. I know can ACH the monies then pay the bill. I am not willing to do because on line bill pay at other banks does not have this problem
I was using my laptop versus my desktop where my screen is larger. When I tried to add these credit union accounts on the laptop I did not see them due the screen size. So I added them manually which caused the paper check option to be selected.Today I added them and remembered to scroll down then I was able to added them so they would paid electronically.
Questions:
1. Does anyone know of a crecit union bill pay that does not have this issue?
2. If I were to move my accounts to another bank does anyone have any experience with Bask Bank?
Edited to remove Newtek Bank
TIA for any input

Would like clarification.
With the second try of adding them was the "State Department FCU" able to be linked to be paid ACH?
If so, have you made a payment and had success with it being electronic not by checkin the mail?
@Kforce Yes with second try I was able to get State Department to electronic and not check. I have not made any payments yet. When I do I will send the payment early to make sure everything posts correctly. Also if there is problem I have time to recover from it before the due date.

Always the way to make payments.
Early with time to recover.
Curious because I know of some one who is thinking of a "State Department Card" and uses billpay pushing for card payments.
Most institutions have no issue however as with all things a few places seem to not be able to have "Pushed - ACH Payments".
Let me know after your first push goes thru, if you don't mind.
Thanks
@Kforce I have using Discover and Ally bill pay to pay SDFCU since I opened the account in June 2023. Nary a problem. I will see if Langley breaks the string. I will update.
If that somone is thinking about I would encourage them to go for it. In my own experience I was given an auto CLI on the one year anniversary. The starting limit was 15000 after the auto CLI 20000. I would have used SDFCU for the checking if their ACH transfer limits were higher for non bill transfers. Also Langley has higher CD and savings rates.
@Kforce @Here is another option is Fortera credit union. They have 2% cash back cards as well I have not done any "science experiments " to see what there credit limits are like

I am member of this credit union was well.
@Kforce I have one bill pay for SDFCU that will go out on Friday. If this succeeds as expected then all of my billers will have worked. I have kept the Ally accounts open where I was banking just in case.
@Hipployta , With the my design checking avvount saver option the limit on the HYSA limit goes upto 25,000. As a just in case, I have linked my Vanguard Cash Plus Account to Langley. I am aware of the one withdrawal a month limit.
