I'm unsure where to post this. I did some research about credit mix hacking using aidvantage student loans. I'm unsure whether to post it here (where most of the other SSL posts are), or in the student loans forum (technically correct, but, that forum seems less active)
Not sure why, but I could not follow the link. Some message popped up that I could not access the link.
It says access denied for me.
Mixing student and personal loans is usually not a good idea. This link could have been taken down because this is technically a terms of use violation as it pertains to what you are allowed to use personal loan money for as it relates to student loans. For example, this is directly from Navy Federal's FAQ page on Personal and SSL loans:
"Can I use a personal loan for higher education?
No, a personal loan doesn’t cover education expenses. However, our student loans can help you pay for college or refinance your current student loans."

it appeared that my Nelnet student loans had a similar option, to not accelerate the due date with a payment so it would be just like a SSL
I never tried it though, but if you do have any federal student loans, might be worth looking into
