Denied Bluebird and Serve?

On Monday evening, the Amex account registration sites for both bluebird and serve were under maintenance. But today after trying all day, it says unable to approve you for account at this time. Anybody else having this issue? What could be wrong? What can be done? My chexsystems is clean, I checked recently. My Experian is 714 but my eq and tu are below 700 due to a collections. Thanks.

Re: Denied Bluebird and Serve?

I can't imagine you would be denied because my S/O at one point had a BAD chex score but could still get a bluebird because it's just a reloadable card (fortunately we've resolved that and we're back with the bank she had to burn). There must be a system error... You could check the AmEx application status website, although I'm not sure if that's only for credit cards, or you could always call.

I would try again tomorrow.  Serve has fees, Bluebird is free.  I use Bluebird.

I used Bluebird in my cash-only days as well. Still use it on CCT $1 credit reports.

Your FICO credit scores are not just numbers, it’s a skill.

Tried it again this morning. Same result. In fact, the unapproval popped up before the part where it asks sfor state ID and didn’t even bother to ask for state ID. The customer service is not able to help, only saying using different browsers which I already have.
