Yesterday I received an email from Alliant Credit Union stating that if I open a new checking account with a deposit of $100 or more by October 7, 2022 and maintain that $100 at minimum on daily basis until February 28, 2023 then I will earn $100 bonus and they will make a $100 donation to i be one of not for profit organizations such as American Cancer Soceity, Alzheimer's Association and easterSeals... I am an Alliant member for almost 2 years and have a credit card with them for so long...I do wanna have bonus and want one of these non-profile-organizations to get $100 too but the only problem is- I do not want to have any inquiry on my Chexsystem as its already too many there. Contacting Alliant to inquire about it is completely a waste of time...nobody in customer service knows definite answer. So, any of you, especially those who have opened a deposit account with them, knows anything about this then please share your views. Thanku
I believe if you are a current member you should be fine from Chex's, but might want to wait for validation on that other than me. Usually how it works with CU, but hate assuming anything.
Yes they do. I recently (within the last two weeks) applied for just a savings account and they wanted me to unlock my Chexsystem report to continue the application process. I declined joining all together.

So sad... I will also give it a try by locking down my Chexsystem... if it does work then it would nice; otherwise I might not proceed with it...Thanks

Were you already a member of Alliant CU or were you applying for a new membership at the same time as the account?

It seems you have asked this question from other member, but if its for me then yes... I have been a member for 2-3 years and also have a credit card with them for the same time...

I was applying for new membership. Reading is fundamental ... 🙃 I read the title, skimmed through post (not fully reading) and answered ... 🤦🏽♂️
