Flex??

Good morning. I have a quick question to see if anyone here has had any experience with Flex? It is a service that basically pays your rent at the first of the month and you repay it all month long. It won't tie up a credit card and you can basically pay it weekly or bi-weekly.

The only reason I'm asking is being a teacher I get paid twice per month and the one on the last day of the month gets eaten up by rent. I'ld really like to almost split it in half so that it is easier to stay on budget. There  is a cost involved but it is nominal in my case anyway.

I was just wondering if someone had experience with it? Or if they liked it? or thought it was a nightmare. Thanks in advance.

Re: Flex??

I'll be following this thread as it may interest me also.

I wonder if there's a flat fee or percentage of a person's rent?

Re: Flex??

What I saw was a flat fee $19.99 per month Now that certainly adds up but when you factor in cash advances/late fees/ CC fees etc, I think it is more than fair. It is certainly something that I could do. I make that in two trips for Uber.

Re: Flex??

Yeah that isn't to bad considering the other fees you mentioned.

I've thought about maybe getting involved with Uber or Lyft, a little extra money here and there.

Re: Flex??

Another option that could work is moving half your rent with your first check into your savings account.  Then transfer when you are ready to pay rent.

Re: Flex??

I looked at it.  If your landlord doesn't use one of the supported 3rd party rent portals, you can't use them.

For example, I rent with progress residential... a large Wall Street slumlord and their rent portal isn't supported.
