the Samsung S22 series has a known design flaw; pressure changes can cause the speaker to sound blown.
The solution (at least for now) is to pop the SIM while the speaker is playing.
Pathetic for a 6-month-old flagship phone. My first & last Samsung.
Probably somewhat part of being semi waterproof?
Couldn't say. I don't swim with it; I do fly with it. 🤬

You can't have a Flagship and like it to! ...unless it's Navy![]()

Apparently before the fix with the recent models it was a pressure and/or temperature issue causing the crackling, the popping out of the SIM equalized the pressure inside the phone making the speakers work again. That would have pissed me off considering how much flying I do to the northeast it being a double whammy

Hello everybody,
Happy New Year! 2022 was an up and down year for me, but luckilly, I ended on the up side.
Just found out this morning while checking my school Email that I will not have to go to Indiana when it's time for me to defend my proposal (2025 or 2026) and dissertation (2026 or 2027). I do have to go there twice this year and once next year for Immersion Weekends, but after that, the next visit may be the hooding / graduation ceremony.
Classes restart on the 9th.
Hope you're all doing well.

My friend had a small handheld ham radio,
did the same thing when going to high elevation, he always had to pop the battery cover.
At least to me, no matter how much you spend on a cell phone, they all seem to have their quirks. (maybe it's just me)
Gotta love this comment;

I am glad @expatCanuck ..while not having a pleasant experience with his phone,
brings this up, ..as my phone is already well beyond two years old... probably just got the last security update.
The phone still works well, and the battery life seems unchanged from when I bought it new.
I will probably be buying a new phone in the next 2-3 months.
I do keep a spare phone on another carrier,
with a $60 a year unlimited voice and text plan (no data)
Just in case there is a carrier outage, as there has been from time to time.

I truly hope that you are NOT watching this.

Hello everyone. I have chosen to enter the Garden for the entire year of 2023. I have been rebuilding for about 1.5 years. I have enough tradelines and too many inquires acquired along the way. It is the opportune time for me to refrain from any new credit applications and focus on what I currently have.
Welcome, @shalimarcat !
A one year stay in the garden is very doable, and very helpful!
Good luck!
Did you bring snacks?

Thank you. I look forward to it. I am also excited with what 2023 will bring in terms of improving my credit score. In the latter part of the year, many of my inquiries will fall off, my accounts will age, and my scores improve.
I forgot the snacks because one of my New Year's resolutions is to not snack at all.
