I hope your fiance's tooth feels better! I once had a root canal (three sessions) on a tooth that was infected and it HURT. So I totally sympathize and can understand that something like that cannot wait. It sounds like you got it worked out but another thing you could do is call in advance to the dentist and try to work out a payment plan (or time of payment if not that day). I think they would understand especially if it's your regular dentist.

Maybe make a payment plan at the dentist. You got some good advice from the person above. You should follow thru with it.
