@Anonymous wrote:How long does it take NFCU SSL to show on my account? I was approved, signed the documents Saturday night and haven't heard anything. The money is still in my NFCU Savings.
Asking for a friend who joined NFCU recently; I forget so I can't give him a solid answer; assist please. If they applied for a new cc too early (he didnt know 91/3 was a thing) and got a hard inquiry/denied- when can they reapply for another card?
SSL should have shown up by now. Call them and ask about it would be my suggestion.
Applying before 91/3 doesn't extend the timeline. Your friend just needs to wait until 91/3 and try again. It will be another HP of course.

It finally showed up this morning but I did have to give them a call because their systems automatically transferred money from my Savings to my Checking- I have all ODP off- including ACH; but the Rep said the system 'does that to predict/protect you' ok..
So my loan is posted, I pay that down to 8%- yes?
Friend note: He was approved before 91/3 for a second card, it showed in his account today too.

Excellent. Yes, pay it right down so it will report as such. The NFCU SSL, the biggest no brainer in the history of Earth...

Cool! I paid it down; to my understanding in 1-2 business days the money I paid will be available in my Savings account I used to fund the SSL? Thanks!

Thanks! Yeah.. I agree.. it is a little too easy lol!
Then I have to make a payment each month for it to report, right? Or will it report as 'satisfied' until the next due date?

Pay each month, 513. They have this wierd process where if one month you pay more than minimum, that amount will be deucted from next months "due." Yet they expect a payment every month.
It took me awhile to get the hang of it.

Thanks for your reply! I see this listed under my additional information, should I not worry about this 14-day pay off by x date?
@Anonymous, your specific questions associated with the SSL process has been moved to its own separate thread in the Personal Finance section of the forums as the main purpose of the discussion in the "Navy Federal Thread for CLI and Additional Cards" is as the title implies. Any SSL questions are usually addressed in this section.
