My OnPath CU and Veridian CU application experiences

I applied two different credit unions in different days so I will start with my application experiences with OnPath Credit Union.

5/4/2026 - I applied for Rewards High Yield Checking and Rewards Cash Back Checking. It wasn't approved immediately the same day so I waited.

5/5/2026 - Never heard back.

5/6/2026 - Never heard back.

5/7/2026 - Not heard back so I decided to call the CS and told them that I applied for the checking accounts as a new member 3 days ago. The CS told me that someone will sent me a document to sign it and I will receive account/member number by secure email. So I signed it and got the account/member number attached to separate email for online banking setup.

This credit union is not Chex sensitive. My Chex stats before applying is: 1/1, 5/6, 6/12, and 15/24.

Now to my Veridian Credit Union application experiences.

I applied this morning and was approved the same day few hours later. No Chex was pulled (my Chex was frozen). They soft pull TransUnion. So no Chex stats is needed here.

Good for you. I had similar experience with Alliant CU - it took them 3 weeks to figure out things :-)

It took you three weeks to get your account opened after you applied from them, is that right? If it is, then that's bad experience.
