Re: NFCU CLOC Help

I'm sorry it didn't turn out the way you wanted. Smiley Sad

It's YMMV, but most of the counter-offer reports I've read are older... it seems that more recently if someone goes for the full $15k and is turned down they have to reapply for a lower amount.

You will probably want to wait for the letter to see exactly why you were turned down first, though... then you can get your plan of attack ready.  Smiley Wink

Re: NFCU CLOC Help

I was initially denied for a NFCU CLOC but, had it overturned after I requested a RECON for a lower amount. They used the same report and did not pull my report again. Your scores and credit appear to be much better than mine. I say call in and give it a shot. You can always request an increase at a later date. In addition to requesting a lower amount over the phone, I followed up my with an e-message on NFCU's website. I highly recommend you reference Credit Addict's original thread (first page) about the process.

Re: NFCU CLOC Help

My utilization is 2%, I got a call from a member advisor today, we had a good conversation about the CLOC. For whatever reason, they denied this particular product, without a counter. He suggested to apply for one of their CC's. So I proceeded with that, that was instantly approved. Lol go figure 🤔
