NFCU CLOC approved!

Joined NFCU 8/19; opened checking/savings with tiny deposits, Apped for More Rewards Amex, approved instantly 8/22 for (haha!) $500. Think I can get $3000 spend in 90 days to get the 3000 points?? HP on TU. Internal score: 315 in letter

anyway, last night tried for the CLOC, tried $1500 forgetting that they are only going to do $500. TU HP AND EQ HP!!  2 hours later get under review message. This morning a call from them asked me if $500 was OK, I'm like Yeah. So just now APPROVED. YAY ME. I have no other LOC so this hopefully helps my credit profile.

1. Read here that NFCU is all about TU HPs for new apps, EQ for CLIs, loans, LOC etc. Now they are using BOTH??

2. how often does the CLOC grow? Is it the 91/3 rule or 6 months?

3. does the cloc show up in the app/website?

4. the credit dept would NOT use the recent pulls for a better SL on the Amex. Do you think they'd use it if I wanted to go there personal loan route? Or is that yet another pull?

5. with a BK7, yet solid rebuild 17 months later, would a pandemic loan to help pay bills be approved? Would they do yet another pull??

Thanks for any hints. So far, loving loving b the NFCU!!

You are the first I have heard for a double pull?

2. how often does the CLOC grow? Is it the 91/3 rule or 6 months?

CLOC is not easy to grow, I would not ask for at least a year. (Things have changed with NFCU's CLOC generosity)

Always a EQ HP for CLOC Increase.

3. does the cloc show up in the app/website?

YES!

Probably another pull, but you can call and ask. (Loans and CC's are different departments)

5. with a BK7, yet solid rebuild 17 months later, would a pandemic loan to help pay bills be approved? Would they do yet another pull??

Hard to say on the approval. Again possibly another HP.

Thanks for any hints. So far, loving loving b the NFCU!!

You can call and request "NAVchecks" to write against your CLOC. (No grace period)

It should show up with all your accounts

(I will edit and add a screenshot to show this)

This could explain the double pull, as Navy is possibly in the midst of a change?

Congratulations on both approvals!

Welcome to Navy.  Hard pulls are always to be expected and soft pulls appreciated.

Thank you, come again!Thank you, come again!Expect to treat every app you do with Navy like a store... you are going to pay them.

With Navy you give them a HP and they in turn says, ever so nicely, Thank you, come again!
