NFCU Document issue??

I am attempting to open a NFCU account but have been met with repeated correspondence by them requesting documentation-ie: drivers licenses  as  well as a  W2 or utility bill or a host of other things to verify address . Is this their normal procedure? Neither myself nor my husband have any reason not to easily provide this but this will be the 2nd time I have had to submit something. His W2- if you'd call it that -from his S Security was not acceptable as proof of address. Meanwhile his SS # is on it as well as address.

Re: NFCU Document issue??

Unfortunately this has happened to other members as well. Are you sending these documents via fax? Via email to bsadocs@navyfederal.org ?

If you live reasonably close to a branch it may be best to go in person if you can.

Re: NFCU Document issue??

SV1,

You have been sucked into the NFCU verification black hole.  The only way you will ever get into the credit union is to provide the requested documents. From what you originally posted, it sounds like your address listed on the application didn’t match what was on your CR. Your best bet is stop into a branch and let them send the requested docs in. If you can’t make it to a branch, I would email the docs.

This happens quite a bit.

Hope you get this resolved quickly.

Re: NFCU Document issue??

I was uploading via the email link they sent. I received a letter in the mail yesterday requesting documents . Again. I've now copied drivers license plus 3 other forms of ID they accept & will try the US Mail. Rather frustrated hearing how people apply & within minutes are accepted as a member.
