Congratulations on joining NFCU. To me they are an excellent credit union. In my opinion you need to make sure that you turn the paperwork ASAP. Also keep it with your important papers. When I joined, I did it at the branch and brought everything with me.
It sounds like NFCU is fighting up on membership verification. There is no problem whe you're being honest.
