I haven’t seen someone get 15k CLOC in sometime. Mind giving more DP’s on this?
I got denied for a CLOC last month
had direct deposits + SSL + 0 balance CC with them
Very conservative product IMO
YMMV
@TheFIGuy - for your reference, please see the posts upthread on this recent topic. Hopefully that provides some insight.
Hey there just wanted to share my odd data points on my NFCU Cloc.
I applied for this in early April 2020.
they came back and countered with a "conditional" approval.
The 1 condition :
Navy wanted their title from the truck I purchased in July 2019 thru Navy. Long story short : Large Chevy dealer printed and sent title in my name. Well all this was happening at the very beginning of the pandemic , so DMVs were closed in my state, which navy needed me to file paperwork listing them as owner.
Since I was not able to go to DMV, Navy allowed me to take the title into my local branch and have them mail it off.
Got navy on phone , instant approval $500 after they confirmed title was in their possession!
Now for the interesting part:
I called in May 2020 to product change my nrewards unsecured to cash rewards. Everything was great until the next day I was on the Navy mobile app reviewing my card info and I noticed an authorized user attached to my card that I had no relations to ?!
At this point I was freaking out and pretty upset , as I thought fraud was taking place in my account.
I called into Navy (again) and spoke to a supervisor in credit cards , she had me on hold for a good 30 minutes "researching what happened". Well she comes back and tells me the rep that assisted with my product change accidentally added authorized user on the wrong (my) account. She was very nice and apologetic, asked if there was anything she could do for me: I asked about credit card increase and she stated I was not eligible because of the graduation and $500 bump after in the same month. I said "okay what about my CLOC". She puts me in hold for a while, made a call to that department and she comes back to inform me " we can grant you a $1000 increase " . I told her she was awesome and to have a good day !
She also removed the airhorized user
for me lol
Sorry for the long post , just wanted to share with others that this CLOC can grow over time , I have no military affiliation but have been a member since January 2018 full DD into Navy checking.
New limit : $1500.
Hello all, have there been changes to the CLOC? Their website shows a limit of 5k and they now pill fico 5 experian. Anyone familiar or have had a recent experience with the process? Is a CLOC considered a loan or does it show up as a credit card on your credit report?

An Experian FICO 5 version does not exist -- are you sure it doesn't say EX FICO 9?
I apped for the CLOC a couple years ago (they pulled EQ 9) and I know things have changed quite a bit since then when it comes to starting limits - you used to be able to max out at a $15K SL. Most recent experiences I've seen report $500 SLs.
The CLOC reports as a revolving account (though for me, TU erroneously lists it as "other loans" and doesn't include it in revolving util).
I believe it's Equifax 5. They have reigned in the CLOC. Many are now getting approved with $500. Days of $15k ended awhile ago.
Hello,
I just got off the phone with a manager at NFCU and he stated that an analyst put notes in my CLOC increase application that read: "declined CLOC increase due to member already being at 3k total CLOC limit, which is the new max CLOC limit".
Obviously this does not apply if you are currently over 3k
Has anyone received a CLOC larger than 3k on or around 11/12/21 ?

That is a bummer.
if you are able to manage to get in with BCU. They are every generous with CL.
a member here was able to get up to 50k+ PLOC
My family member was able to get 40k PLOC and 30k SL for CC
