@Anonymous no biggy! Tbh not that impressed with NFCU I know they generally give out big limits but PenFed rates a lot of the time are better ,  What really interested me more was the affinity agrements they have in place with PenFed Amex Visa Siggy and Cash Gas card @Anonymous.24% still makes NLUS worth Joining, that and the fact that you're supporting the military whom protect us all at the same time makes it worthwhile.

Agreed.  If the memberships stay open, great, we all benefit.  If not then at least we all gave to a worthy cause.

I was vacillating about whether or not to jump on this opportunity to get in with NFCU. Looks like the Navy League just made the decision for me.

I did. It says it is being reviewed by a loan officer.

I have no ill feelings toward NLUS, they're just doing what they feel they have to do for the well-being of the organization. PenFed was my original destination for a CU until this opportunity arose, and I'll still get there albeit a few months later.  There's no need to put all of one's eggs in one basket.

FWIW, I do think it would be difficult to boot people or unilaterally change their council membership on the basis of a rule change that occurred after their acceptance.

I still think the Navy League is an excellent organization. I really am impressed with the great things they do.

If I get to keep my accounts at NCFU, that would be awesome. If not, that's OK too. It's only money.

I joined NLUS SD on the fifth, actually received two emails, and card was charged.  I compared Pendfed and Navy, prefer Navy.  But, have not had time to join.  Hope my membership is still good, and that I can join Navy in a bit.  I do not rush things (besides, it is worthwhile charity, all is not lost if I only stick with Alliant and BECU, with Alaska as honorable mention).
