OP you are definitely eligible. So provide whatever docs that ask for when you talk to them tomorrow. Your grandfather does not have to join. My mother joined without my uncle joining. It happens ALL the time. I just made sure she provided all his info and told her to double check that it was in fact entered. Her membership approval took a few days. Once approved, I made her call back in and make sure his info was in fact listed on her account. Did you make sure they put all his info on your acct when you join? Unfortunately sometimes the CSRs are lazy when taking phone apps and although you provide the info, they don't put in on your account. This will most definitely get you flagged. It is certainly worth doing whatever is neccessary to fix the account. Navy Fed is phenomenal.
