Have a bad Chex and it seems all I can get approved for are places like SoFi, Robinhood, etc. However, I need to deposit cash on a regular basis (and in amounts exceeding what would be doable through some of these load at Walgreens setups). Any bank recommendations that allow cash deposits at the ATM and offer a wide ATM network?

Wells fargo, NFCU, TD bank to name a few. Search banks that dont pull Chex.

Not endorsing conclusions, just showing the link! A few interesting ones there but not sure of "If you use Bank A, you can deposit cash at any/some of their ATMs" is surprising or useful.
I have a bad Chex report as well but was able to get a checking & 2 savings at PenFed. They were painfully slow in the start but now everything moves quick.
I have local branches near me, so if you do too it may be worth looking into.

I'm assuming online banks that are like Discover and Ally bank for just banking online and ATMs, right? I have never seen an online bank have ATMs that do deposit because they usually partner with a network like MoneyPass and Allpoint for people to withdraw money but never deposit because of those ATMs were made.
Obv, since you have said that your chexsystem is bad, try finding if a bank or a credit union around you uses Chex when opening an account. The ATMs I have seen at PNC, BoA, and Chase have deposits (check and cash) over where I am at. As for credit unions, if you are planning opening up an account with them I would ask if the debit card does work for ATM deposits (AOD FCU is not one of them). Just like banks, Credit Unions that are part of the CO OP network does have their advantages because there is Shared Branch and ATMs that allow ATM deposits with (check and cash).
If you are doing the CO OP way, I suggest getting the "CO-OP Locator" app on your phone (I have android) and use the Membership feature to tell what that Credit Union uses in terms of the CO OP.
As you can see on the app for example, Navy Federal Credit Union is part of the CO OP network but only uses the ATMs and not the Shared Branching stuff.

NBKC bank has a free nationwide checking account with no fees of any kind. It also allows ATM deposits using the nationwide MoneyPass network but deposits may have a hold on them even if made in cash... but they do pull chexsystems.
There are many nationwide banks and credit unions that offer second chance checking accounts, usually with a monthly fee, that will convert to a normal checking account after a certain period of time. This would allow you to join a bank that may be close to you as well as online options if you do not mind the fee.
There are also EWS banks like Regions that do not pull chexsystems at all so you do have options and good luck to you.
