I'm in this situation and I liken it to cash: I can spend my personal credit to be reimbursed by the company or I can spend my personal cash and be reimbursed, so I don't really consider this a business expense.
My company reimbursing me would be a business expense, but their expense, not mine.

If you go out to dinner with family, it's a personal expense. If you go out with clients, it's a business expense. Bottom line, you're only getting reimbursed if the purchase qualifies as a business expense regardless of how you pay. I certainly wouldn't be using my cash, but I suppose you can do that if you want.
Whether it's your expense or company's expense, that's just semantics. All I care about is getting paid back for expenses related to the business.

Whether I word things in a way that favors my argument or you do, that's just semantics...
Fixed that for you.
If you spend your money on a lunch with clients and get reimbursed by the company you work for, try claiming that expenditure on your taxes and see if the IRS sees it as a business expense.

....but you're not claiming the reimbursment as income, correct?

Why would I try to claim a business expense that's not mine on my taxes? I never said I do or would do that. I only posted about who can qualify to apply for a business card.
I'll try one last time, and apologies to OP for derailing the thread.
When I have a business expense (lunch) for the company I work for, that company claims it. It is still a business expense (NOT MINE). I can't apply and get my own business credit card for this type of expense.
When I have a business expense (lunch) for the business I actually own, I/my company claims it. I can and have a few business cards for this type of expense.
I don't even understand the argument anymore, honestly.
Yet, you still argue.
How about this: the way you choose to think about it is right and everyone else needs to conform to your way of looking at it.
There. Does that make you feel better?

I was just testing Plastiq out on another card to see if it worked and how well it worked.
Would you mind sharing which card you used? Was it a MC? or something else?
Also, did Plastiq send the funds via ach or check? I'm asking becuz my mortgage company will only except a check from Plastiq and that could take up to 10 days (?).....I don't think I will be able to do this.
I called Discover to ask them about it and talked to 2 CSR's and neither one knew or heard of Plastiq. I asked both to ask other's at Disco, I was put on hold and then told "no info" on Plastiq. Isn't that odd?

I used BBVA Visa and they sent a check.

It's not that anyone's particular way of looking at it is wrong or right, it's just a differrent viewpoint.
As for whether you're actually using a card wrongly is between the user, the Company and/or IRS if claiming charges as expenses.
Not armchair quarterbacks.
I have an idea🤔, how about we all use our cards the way we please.
No one here pays my bills.
If you like, I can send them.😂
On the opposite end of the spectrum.
I use my business cards for personal expenses all the time.
FNBO, Amex, US bank nor Citi gives a hoot, as long as I pay the bill.
If Plastiq offers another promotion. I'll be the first in line to use my MCs with it! Changing my forum name to ShadyG.😆
