Permanently Banned from Chase Bank Account for LIfe!!!

Has this happened to anyone else?

Not on any ChexSystems. No deroggatories from chase on my 3 Credit Reports. Logged into my account and says it's suspended. I called and they said I am permanently banned for life from being an account holder. My Fico 639.

How the hell does this happen? Who would recon this?  I'm 29 , never bk'd, never have had much of anything but am getting my shiz together now. What do I do now?

They have yet to give me a solid reason.

I just spoke with the executive office and filed a complaint on the advice from the CFPB. It doesn't make any sense. I believe I'm somehow flagged in their system but do not know what for.

Well did they give you a liquid reason? or a gelatenous reason??

I wouldn't have gotten off the phone until someone gave me a satisfactory reason, whether the reason is accurate or not.

To ban you for life generally involves some sort of fraud of otherwise undesirable activity.

Its unlikely they will give you an answer by phone; typically the reasons for adverse action are communicated by letter.

The decision to close/suspend a bank account is not based on the contents of your credit report but rather what is in a specialty banking report from companies like ChexSystems, Telecheck, and Early Warning Systems.  Chase in particular uses EWS.  Most of the time a bank will cite a "previous unsatisfactory relationship" as the reason for closing an account.  That's a catch-all phrase that could include any number of real reasons.

Have you had any suspicious or suspicious looking activity in your account? Bought from gray/black markets? Have direct deposit from a job in an industry that they consider risky to their reputation (weed and porn are examples)? Have money coming and going from overseas from areas where money laundering or other bad activities take place?

I've read a few news stories over the years where banks close out accounts due to situations like that, because the bank doesn't want to be associated with it or due to risk they may face.

Some times it can also be a personal vendeta. I recall 40 or so years ago I was client of  Big Bank private banking. I went to a retail branch to deposit a $5 check that had been to me but below my name  was my company name and company address. The teller hassled me over the $5 check. I finally said  please just deposit it into my account. Ten minutes after I left I got a call my accounts were being closed for depositing biz check into my personal account.  What the ......    I thought.  However pay backs can be interesting.     With out going into details the little branch got in a lot of trouble.  I stayed with them for years but never set foot in tht branch again.

Have you used on of their credit cards to buy crypto? Seems to be the fast track to a ban.
