Helping a good friend of mine do some personal loan shopping for his wedding...Prospers offered the best rate thus far but we've read it may report asa CFA...Conflicting info as to which bureaus they report monthly to. A Prosper rep stated all 3, prosper wiki states just TU and EX and going back to around 2014 it seems only EX....Anyone know from experience if Prosper is reporting to al 3 CBs and if so is it CFA? If thats true Ill steer him elsewhere. Cant get him into NFCU
You can still break 800 even with a CFA as I demostrated on both EQ and EX FICO 8, even EQ FICO 5 which appears to truly hate CFA's broke 770 which doesn't suck given that score's top end.
Prosper not being a CFA isn't very likely based on the anecdotal reports I've seen and what you also found here on the forums, couldn't begin to tell you where they report to though I'd assume all 3 worst case for any lender either now or in the future... but a CFA isn't a big deal if there's a non-trivial savings as a result of the better terms.
Ultimately finances > FICO, though admittedly I personally would try to optimize a CFA out of the equation if I could, but not if the money matters.
