Is it absolutely necessary to have the case for ISIS/Serve to work? Yes, won't work otherwise. Could I just sign up for the ISIS Serve and put the information into my phone without having the case, or is the case a necessity?
If you have Verizion, they're only about 35$ (online only). I bought two but neither work. My phone (4s) is on it's last leg and I'm not ready to upgrade. I'm "Trying" to see if the new iPhone will be worth it or if I'll just see if the price is right for the 5s once they drop. I was all for it and I sat on the phone with tech support for about an hour and then the store and pretty much said my phone is shot. Wasn't ready to upgrade so I sent them back.
New iPhones usually come out in the Fall and and the new one is rumored to have NFC support from the start. I just got my 5s last year and only upgrade phones every two years. Hopefully when I upgrade to the 6s (or whatever they decide to call it) in about a year, they'll have native NFC by then. Then I can jump on the Serve/ISIS bandwagon, unless something better comes along between now and then or ccc stop treating Serve reloads as a purchase.
ISIS wallet case won't work with my iPhone 5s. Was on phone w/ tech support for 2 hours between two days and tried everything with no luck. Finally transferred me to ISIS support and they are getting back to me within 48 hours. If I can't get it working I'll just return the case and stick to the $1k CC limit.
Just an up date to this thread. I was able to change my regular serve to isis serve card. I had to close my serve and open new serve account thru isis. On the actualy card it will say serve isis.
I tested adding some money from both freedom , csp , and cap one qs. All three showed them as purchases, so i was able to get points from them.
So, what is the difference between the ISIS and the serve? I am able to load $1,000 a day on my Serve, I just do two $500 with no charges. Is there a benefit to the ISIS? What does it do that the Serve card does not?
Is MCX going to hurt this great tool?...
"A powerful group of retailers including Best Buy and 7-Eleven plans to roll out mobile payments in 2014 by scanning barcodes from smartphones. That move sets up a potential battle with backers of NFC (Near Field Communication), including a joint venture of three wireless carriers called Isis, and Google Wallet.
The merchant venture, called Merchant Customer Exchange (MCX), hasn't divulged specific plans. But, it announced that ExxonMobil had joined its ranks, bringing MCX membership to about 70 brands with 110,000 retail locations that process more than $1 trillion in payments a year. Other members include Walmart, Sears, Kohl's, Lowe's, Dunkin' Donuts and other national retailers."
"MCX plans to sidestep any requirement that customers load up a Visa or MasterCard card to a smartphone, and will instead require them to make purchases with phones and barcodes directly from their bank accounts. Several industry analysts said they had heard that some MCX members such as Best Buy and 7-Eleven had installed NFC-ready payment terminals in the past two years, but had recently turned off that capability. One reason often cited is to avoid high fees charged by banks and credit card processors, while other analysts said the retailers are shutting them down to avoid operational costs."

well the cap is 1500 an month for cc to serve directly don't have to mess with going to walmart and doing the VGC dance. you can do 500 per day via cc , much more convenient for me.
Right about now the ISIS brand team is regretting that name choice. Pure speculation.
Just sayin.

They were actually going to change name as of last month due to it being same name as an militants group I would assume
