Are you sure that your vpn was blocking application ? Because it does seem that NY/NJ are out of their geoprints...
The CU is HQ in NY
Membership with ACC is showing up $8 then how to get it for free, plz?
@12njoy, @Janneman, @Metalcards, @pgates, et al,
Comments were split into its own separate thread in the Personal Finance section of the forums as these are more suitable on their own topic given the bulk are associated with membership to this particular CU. Also, let's refrain from hijacking other threads as these data points are not meant to derail any members' Approval threads.
Turns out they are not. A slightly before 48 hours they sent an email asking for some docs for ID verification. It ended up on my Spam folder so I didn't see it straight away. Replied back with the docs requested, didn't hear anything for 48 hours, re-sent the same email back, just a couple hours ago I received the "Welcome to Quorum" email. So looks like I'm in. I'm going to wait until Monday at the earliest before I think about applying.
I sent in an application on the 17th, but have not heard anything. Short of calling in, there does not seem to be any way to check app status. I will call them on Monday

You can also try emailing them at membership@quorumfcu.org. Unfortunately, so far the Quorum membership process hasn't gone as quickly or smoothly as other approval threads have indicated.
My timeline:
5/14 - Applied for Quorum membership. Applied to join ACC the same evening.
5/15 - Within 24 hours ACC sent a welcome email with my membership # and certificate. I was impressed with how fast their response was. At least that part was done.
5/16 - Called the Quorum number explaining I applied for membership on 5/14 and want to know the status. The lady placed me on hold for 10 minutes and then I got disconnected. I called back and got a different lady who apologized about the disconnect. She advised me to wait until 5/17. That sounded reasonable due to my membership application being submitted on Saturday, 5/14. However, due to not having much initial success and to allow them more time I decided to wait until 5/19 to follow up.
5/19 - Called and got transferred. The lady mentioned a letter was mailed out on 5/17 requesting that I mail back an ID and recent statement or utility bill to confirm my physical address. I asked if emailing the documents was an option instead of "snail mail", and she said yes. I promptly emailed the documents to membership@quorumfcu.org. No response yet. Also still haven’t received the letter that was apparently mailed from earlier in the week.

Their process seems inconsistent. When I called to follow up the lady said they mailed a letter requesting I mail back a copy of my ID and a statement or utility bill for address confirmation. After asking about emailing them back instead of using snail mail, she said emailing was ok. I promptly emailed the requested documents on 5/19 and still awaiting a response.
I found my email in my spam. They want me to print sign and notarize an ID Theft paper,government id and bank statement . Nah I'm OK I need another CU like I need another cc. Just adding a dp.
