I have around a 790 and would like to get in the higher 8's. How can i do a SSL I have NFCU but do I have to call and ask them specifically what im doing or just say something specific? does it matter that it reports as a "Shared Secured Loan " instead of "unsecured loan" in any shape way or form? like a cfa

have ~$3100 in your savings account, $3001 is the minimum for 5 years
call
"Hello, I would like to open a Shared Secured Loan with a 5 year term in the amount of $3100 please."
from a FICO scoring perspective, it doesn't matter that it's a secured loan and it's not a CFA either.
will the SSL be your only open loan?

This is the question. If you already have another open installment loan, then an SSL won't help you much.
