Service CU

Hello, does anybody bank with Service CU? I just saw their banking and I really like that they offer 2 day early DD and $15/m for fees and ftf reimbursement with no requirements. But, I also heard some horror stories as well. How have your experience been with them? Thanks.

Re: Service CU

@GhostCredit  I did some looking at customer reviews on this credit union. I see what you are talking about. There are many credit unions though offfer 2 day early direct deposit.  Are looking for credit union that has branches near you?   if so what state do you live.?  When you look at a credit look at the coop and atm network which will give you locations nation wide that you can use fee free. With Sevice the ATM Feecmay be related due branches outside the US.

Re: Service CU

Hey man, no I'm not looking for a local branch. I live in CA, the reason is because CU is coop with many CU so I could pull money out without any fees. The only thing is when it comes to the atm fee rebates, there's so many loopholes you gotta get and service happens to make things easy. Only thing is it cost money for everything else if you look at the fees. They charge 1% if you withdraw money unfortunately outside of the US. Good thing I could zelle to my schwab or fidelity account - ach is fine too.

I've banked with Citi priority because of my dad but even then it didn't give me my atm rebate which I thought it would. Nfcu doesn't offer 2 day, but it does offer atm rebates.

Re: Service CU

As far as I know all credit unions have a COOP network. Some credit unions have larger COOP networks that others. As for me I could not imagine a scenario where I would pay an ATM fee. Their is a 7 11 which is a block away from my whose ATM is on my cu coop network. I have only banked (checking account)  with Langley and Redstone. I am a member of other credit unions but never had a checking account with them.

Re: Service CU

I understand, it's just that sometimes I'm driving and I see a boa or another bank and I don't want to have to look for a atm especially at 711. Or find a cu.

Re: Service CU

I utilize Service Credit Union.

I have my direct deposit go there and all bills are paid from the account. Member service is top notch and the products are decent. I have an auto transfer into the primary share savings because it has an APY of 5.00%. Pretty darn good if you ask me.

Re: Service CU

I have a Service CU credit card and just the required savings account, so I really don't do any regular banking with them. But as long as I've had their credit card, I've not had any issues with them.

Re: Service CU

So far, I do like them more than NFCU. I think the products are great but I also like that they participate in the Co-Op Shared Branching. With no branches near me, it is essential for everyday use because I still get cashiers checks to pay some local bills.
