Signature FCU Membership

Just wanted to give everyone a update on Signature FCU. They did not hard pull my credit for membership! A lot of videos state they HP and it's good for 60 days but rep told me they do not HP on all membership applications. So I will sign documents and remain a member for 6 months prior to applying.

Re: Signature FCU Membership

Some people reported hard pull Equifax, some reported soft pull, they also pull ChexSystems. When I joined for 3% checking in 2018, it was soft pull and ChexSystems pull. Now they nerfed the checking to 1.50%, what product/service are you trying to get?

@SouthJamaica Simply put anyone that is a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident because there is an option you can choose that SFCU will enroll you into American Consumer Council (ACC) at no cost, making you eligible for membership. I am in NY, if I can join, pretty much the CU is nationwide.

Here is the long version:

Membership is open to anyone who falls into in one of the following eligibility categories:

  • Immediate family members of Signature Federal Credit Union members
  • Household members of Signature Federal Credit Union members
  • Employees of the United States Postal Service whose job title is Postmaster, Postmaster Relief (PMR), Supervisor or Officer in Charge (OIC)
  • Marymount University Alumni Association Members and Alumni Association Employees
  • Employees of:
    • The National Association of Postmasters of the United States
    • The National Association of Postal Supervisors
    • Signature Federal Credit Union
    • The Enlisted Association of the National Guard of the United States
    • The National Enlisted Reserve Association
    • Case Design/Remodeling, Inc.
    • Martin Communications, Inc.
    • Mass Benefits Consultants, Inc.
    • The PrintShop, LLC
    • FirstMark Financial Resources
    • The DC Coalition for the Homeless
    • Pet Assure (including Veterinarian practices and their employees)
    • The Del Ray Business Association (members and employees of members)
    • IIDA (International Interior Design Association)
    • Boys and Girls Club of Greater Washington

If you do not fall under any of the above eligibility categories, you may be eligible to join our Credit Union through the American Consumer Council (ACC).

Honestly very easy. I DID NOT get a HP for membership as everyone else states. Checked all Bureaus rep today confirmed they did not pull credit. It took over a week just to get membership docs to sign. Signed today and they told me 48hrs to finalize and open accounts. "I did checking and savings" I'm going to wait a year for pre approvals to float in since my INQs are heavy in the last 2 weeks. I'm going for their SIG rewards and PLOC.
